The knee is one of the important and most complicated joints. Your knees are weight bearing and let you to walk, run, sit, stand and jump. The knee joint flexes, extends, and rotates. Knee problems are from injury or arthritis..


Knee Pain Causes

Knee Arthritis
There are several types of arthritis that affect the knee joints, from osteo arthritis to inflammatory arthritis like Rheumatoid.

Torn knee ligaments are a type of injury usually suffered by athletes due to sporting activities or a high velocity trauma like a car accident.

Torn knee cartilages are generally seen with traumatic injury.

Patellar tendonitis is one of the common causes of knee pain. It's inflammation of the patellar tendon, attached to the bottom of the knee cap.

Chondromalacia patella is caused due to softening and breakdown of the knee cartilage and is described as a pain or ache around the kneecap.

Knee cap dislocation is a serious injury caused by major trauma or genetic problem and may usually causes early arthritis.

Baker's cyst is a swollen sac on the back of the knee resulting from a meniscus tear or arthritis.

Bursitis is inflammation of a sac of fiuid (bursae) under the knee cap and is a common knee complaint caused by activities that involves a lot of bending and kneeling down while working like construction workers, carpenters and gardeners to name a few.
