There are thousands of so-called remedies being offered through the internet - all claiming to cure your knee pain. Most of these 'miraculous' knee pain remedies are bogus 'snake oil' scams and a complete waste of money.

But, there really are a few exceptional ones out there! Here are my top three knee pain remedies that definitely helped my patients; they should also help you achieve long-lasting knee pain relief. If possible, combine these individual knee pain remedies together.

Knee Pain Remedy # 1 - Natural Anti-Inflammatory Joint Relief Supplements

These joint relief supplements combine natural-anti-inflammatory herbs with essential super-nutrients that support the re-growth of healthy cartilage. The best three I’ve tested are Ultimate Joint Relief, Dr. Theo’s ASU and Rexall's Osteo-Biflex.

A word about Glucosamine and Chondroitin: The fact is - only about 1 in 10 people have a powerful anti-inflammatory and pain-relief response to Glucosamine and Chondroitin. For most of you, those supplements have only a minimal anti-inflammatory effect, but, at the same time, they do remain essential, basic building-blocks for healthy cartilage re-growth. That explains why many of you may have tried them - for pain relief - with minimal or no success ... and why the studies vary in results.

Knee Pain Remedy # 2 - Brazilian Menthol Instant Pain Relief Spray

The best knee pain relief spray I've found for my patients is called Brazilian Heat. It’s a blend of all-natural soothing ingredients, including 7% Brazilian Menthol from the Rain Forest. For best knee pain relief results, use the spray 4- 6 times a day, combined with 15 minutes of ice treatments with compression, immediately afterwards! This helps relieve knee joint surface nerve pain.

Knee Pain Remedy # 3 - Gentle Pain Relief Exercises

Bike Away Your Pain

Your cartilage receives nutrients from joint fluid - not from direct blood supply like most of your body tissues. Biking is one of the best and most gentle ways to pump nutrient-rich joint fluid to your knee cartilage.

Ride an exercise bike daily. Gradually work your way up to 30 minutes. Set the level at the lowest intensity until you build up strength. Try and stay between 100 and 120 RPMs. Make sure the seat is positioned so that your knee is almost-but-not-quite straight at the bottom of the pedal cycle.

Tai Chi and Qi Gong

These ancient Chinese arts combine slow rhythmic movements with meditation. They help both your local pain and inflammation while boosting the natural painkillers (endorphins) in your brain. Tai Chi or Qi Gong are most effective if done 30 minutes to an hour, everyday.

Walking

Walking daily helps reduce inflammation and pain by gently moving your knees. Start slowly and see if you can build up to 30 minutes to 1 hour. Do not walk through pain - that actually makes the Inflammation Pain Cycle worse. ‘No Pain, No Gain’ just doesn’t work for anyone with knee pain.

Conclusion

Try the combination of the above three knee pain remedies to get off the bench and back into the game. For those of you interested in trying home remedies for knee pain...
